The firefighter, whose affiliation with the FDNY was unconfirmed but later denied by the FDNY, unleashed a torrent of expletives, labeling the protester “anti-American” and telling them to “go back to Palestine.” The man further extended his anger to political figures, including former President Barack Obama, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani, Governor Kathy Hochul, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, urging the protester to take them along, asserting “They’re all no f—–g good!” The incident, captured on video by Turning Point USA and shared on X, occurred amidst the solemn remembrance ceremonies for the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the 2001 terrorist attacks, drawing attention to the palpable frustration felt by some Americans attending the memorial. Amidst the exchange, another voice was heard in the video, though it was unclear if it belonged to the protester or another individual, stating, “The Jews are committing a genocide.” The FDNY has since clarified that the individual in the video, despite appearing to be in uniform, is not and has never been a member of the FDNY.
