California Rabbi Charged with Murder for Allegedly Intentionally Striking and Killing Worker Painting Costco Lot

In a shocking turn of events, Abba Avrohom Bryski, a 35-year-old rabbi and educator from Agoura Hills, California, has been charged with murder for allegedly driving his car directly at and intentionally killing 28-year-old Nicholas Lang as Lang was painting lines in a Costco parking lot in Camarillo on October 20th. Prosecutors from the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office stated that Bryski, driving an Infiniti Q60 coupe, struck Lang around 8:30 p.m. near the Costco gas pumps. Authorities have not yet revealed the motive behind the alleged attack or whether Bryski and Lang knew each other. Deputies responding to the scene were directed to Bryski, who was found detained in his vehicle nearby. Lang, a resident of Modesto, was transported to Ventura County Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Ventura County District Attorney Erik Nasarenko described the loss as “devastating and senseless,” emphasizing that Lang was simply at work when his life was tragically cut short by actions demonstrating a “shocking disregard for human life.” Bryski was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail on suspicion of murder, with prosecutors also alleging he personally used a deadly weapon and charging him with resisting an officer. He remains in custody without bail and is scheduled for arraignment on November 18th. The investigation into what led to this fatal incident is ongoing, with authorities continuing to gather information.
