Florida Woman Allegedly Tracks Cheating Boyfriend, Shoots Woman in His Car

In a shocking incident that underscores the volatile nature of alleged infidelity, 24-year-old Katherine Dale Kelly of Cocoa, Florida, has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder after she reportedly tracked her boyfriend, Elijah Baker, to a late-night rendezvous and fired a shot into his vehicle, striking another woman. According to police reports, Kelly admitted to investigators that she intended to “make a point” after suspecting Baker of cheating, a pattern of behavior she had previously endured. The confrontation unfolded in the early hours of Saturday in Port St. John when Baker, using Kelly’s car, picked up the victim, Angel Adenau. Kelly, using location tracking, then summoned an Uber to the scene. Upon arrival, she approached the passenger side of the car and fired a single round through the window, hitting Adenau in the left shoulder. Adenau was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment. While Kelly initially claimed self-defense, recovered text messages from Baker’s phone reveal Kelly’s accusations of infidelity and chilling threats to shoot someone prior to the incident, painting a grim picture of premeditation. Her next court appearance is scheduled for November 24th.
