Brandon Sanderson’s epic fantasy universe, the Cosmere, is officially heading to the big screen with a Mistborn movie franchise, confirmed by the author himself with a significant casting update. Apple TV secured the rights to the expansive Cosmere in January 2026, signaling a massive push to create a fantasy empire comparable to Game of Thrones or The Lord of the Rings. While The Stormlight Archive is slated for a television series, the first Mistborn trilogy is now confirmed for a cinematic adaptation, with exciting casting news on the horizon that promises to bring these beloved characters to life.
