TSA Discovers Fentanyl, Meth, and Ketamine Hidden Inside Manipulated Mac Mini at Airport Security

TSA officers at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport intercepted a significant illegal drug stash concealed within a seemingly innocuous Apple Mac mini desktop computer. The discovery was made during routine X-ray screening when Lead TSA Officer Logan Stortz noticed an unusual mass and wiring within the computer’s internal structure, initially mistaking it for a TSA test. Upon closer inspection by TSA Officer Isaiah Martinez Jr. and subsequent examination by an explosives specialist, Robert Rosas Perez II, it was revealed that the manipulated computer housed plastic-wrapped material. Preliminary field-testing by law enforcement, who were called to the scene, indicated the presence of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and ketamine, leading to the passenger’s arrest. Supervisory TSA Officer Emily Price noted the unusual nature of the concealment, while Perez emphasized that attempts to smuggle illicit items through security checkpoints are not as uncommon as the public might believe, with TSA’s role being to detect threats to aviation and notify law enforcement when illegal substances are found.
