A former West Point cadet, Caleb T. Suh, is facing a lawsuit for allegedly drugging his pregnant girlfriend and secretly administering abortion medication to her without her consent in 2022. The woman, identified as “Jane Doe,” claims Suh pressured her to have an abortion despite her desire to keep the baby. He purportedly used her identification to create an online pharmacy account and obtain abortion pills, then gave her a drink he claimed was a protein shake, which caused her to become ill and lose consciousness. Suh later admitted in federal court to sedating her with Xanax before administering the abortion pills, leading to her miscarriage. He pleaded guilty to assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a dating partner and is now being sued for assault and battery, seeking damages for the trauma and loss of her pregnancy. Despite this, Suh has since graduated from Cornell University and enrolled in a master’s program at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, with his legal team stating they are outraged and plan to aggressively pursue justice for Doe.
