Mother of Missing Woman Alleges ‘Foul Play,’ Contradicts Husband’s Account

Months after Lynette Hooker vanished in the Bahamas, her mother, Darlene Hamlett, has publicly stated her belief that her daughter made it back to their boat before disappearing, directly contradicting her husband Brian Hooker’s account. Brian Hooker claims Lynette fell from a dinghy and was swept away by currents. Hamlett asserts, “She made it back to the boat, and there was foul play.” While the U.S. Coast Guard is conducting an ongoing investigation and declined to comment on Hamlett’s claims, dive and land searches have been conducted, and the dinghy Lynette was last seen on has been seized for forensic examination.
