FBI Reports Dramatic Surge in Violent Crime Arrests Under Trump Administration

The FBI has reported a significant increase in its efforts to combat violent crime, with arrests of violent criminals and gang members jumping by 67% over the past 21 months under the Trump administration compared to the final 21 months of the Biden administration, totaling over 47,000 arrests. This period also saw a 13% rise in arrests of child sex predators and human traffickers, exceeding 6,000. FBI Director Kash Patel attributed these gains to President Trump’s leadership and support for law enforcement, stating that the FBI has achieved the largest reduction in violent crime in U.S. history during this timeframe, marked by a 30% drop in the national murder rate and a 114% increase in violent crime suspect arrests. Furthermore, the agency apprehended 10 individuals from the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted list, double the number from the previous four years, and also captured six fugitives from a new ‘Most Wanted Fraudsters’ list within its initial four months. Patel emphasized that these successes occurred amidst one of the highest threat environments in American history, attributing the results to a president who ‘backs the blue,’ an attorney general committed to prosecution, and effective work by law enforcement officers nationwide.
