West Virginia Principal Arrested After Recording Devices Found in Girls’ Locker Rooms

A West Virginia high school principal has been suspended and arrested after authorities discovered multiple recording devices hidden within the girls’ locker rooms at Brooke High School. Eric James, 53, faces felony charges including intentionally intercepting electronic communications and breaking and entering a non-residence. The devices were found in areas used by both the physical education classes and the school’s dance team. Officials confirmed that additional devices were also confiscated from James’ home. The school system has stated its commitment to student safety and privacy, vowing full cooperation with law enforcement and conducting its own internal investigation, while also offering support to students, parents, and staff during this ongoing situation.
