Six individuals, including a Bermudian mother and son traveling for medical treatment and a four-person Canadian flight and medical crew, have been identified following the disappearance of a Boston-bound medical jet off Nantucket. Marilyn Lavonne Bean, 66, was being transported for stroke-related treatment, accompanied by her son, Sergio Wayne Lottimore, a senior vice president at Hamilton Re. The Canadian crew members were identified as Captain Philip Gregory Childerhose, First Officer Thomas Henry Farquhar, Flight Nurse Sarah Jane Paton, and Respiratory Therapist Jolene Beth Weir, all from Latitude Air Ambulance. The Gulfstream G100 aircraft, operated by Latitude Air Ambulance, departed Bermuda late Friday night and reported electrical difficulties as it neared Boston before rapidly descending and losing contact with air traffic control south of Nantucket. The U.S. Coast Guard launched an extensive search, locating debris associated with the aircraft, but ultimately suspended operations on Sunday. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is leading the investigation into the cause of the tragic incident, with assistance from the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.
