Gilgo Beach Killer’s Family Endures Relentless Harassment After Masked Duo Attacks Home

Just over a month after Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann was sentenced for murdering eight women, his ex-wife, Asa Ellerup, and their two children were subjected to terrifying harassment when two masked individuals violently pounded on their Massapequa Park home’s door. The incident, captured on video, shows the two masked figures fleeing the porch as the family dog barked, prompting the family’s attorney, Robert Macedonio, to state that this is just the latest in a barrage of constant torment Ellerup and her children face daily, including people driving by and shouting, leaving items on the door, throwing objects, making comments, and taking pictures, with Ellerup now believing the masked intruders were attempting a break-in despite police classifying it differently. Heuermann, who received three consecutive life sentences without parole plus additional lengthy sentences for the murders, had previously admitted his responsibility before his sentencing, leaving his family to cope with the ongoing repercussions of his horrific crimes.
