FBI Investigates Gunfire at ICE Headquarters Amid Surge in Attacks on Officers

The FBI is actively investigating a shooting incident that targeted the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations building in Phoenix, Arizona, where multiple rounds struck the exterior and windows of the facility. While no injuries were reported, the incident underscores a disturbing trend of escalating violence against federal law enforcement, with the Department of Homeland Security recently reporting a staggering 1,300% increase in assaults against ICE personnel and a more than 3,300% surge in vehicle attacks. In response to this alarming rise in aggression, ICE is mandating that every arrest team be equipped with a body camera, a move described as a top priority for DHS to ensure officer safety and counter what they term ‘smears’ from the media and ‘sanctuary politicians.’ The motive behind the Phoenix shooting remains unknown, and the FBI is appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the perpetrators.
