In a bizarre turn of events, a Maryland man is accused of entering a PNC Bank with a stolen 3-month-old kitten, asking an employee to hold the animal before demanding cash. The kitten, a tuxedo cat named Magnolia, was taken from a nearby Pet Supplies Plus store, where witnesses reported the suspect made a beeline for the kitten before fleeing. The suspect then reportedly entered the bank, handed Magnolia to an employee, and presented a note demanding money. Prince George’s County police apprehended the suspect at the scene, and Magnolia was found unharmed, reportedly bonding with the bank manager during the ordeal. Beltsville Community Cats, the rescue organization that had Magnolia available for adoption, later posted on Facebook that the kitten’s brief foray into a life of crime was over and that she is still seeking a loving, law-abiding home.
