A Venezuelan migrant, identified as Ronny Yordrix Guanipa Chrinos, was apprehended by the U.S. Secret Service in Washington D.C. after allegedly threatening to assassinate President Donald Trump. Officers observed Chrinos acting suspiciously in a stolen vehicle parked on Constitution Avenue near the White House. Upon investigation, Chrinos reportedly confessed to hearing voices instructing him to travel to the nation’s capital and kill Trump. A search of the vehicle revealed three firearms, including an AR-15-style rifle, two handguns, and numerous rounds of ammunition. Officials confirmed Chrinos had illegally entered the U.S. via Texas in March 2024 and was released into the country under the Biden administration, prompting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to lodge a detainer against him.
