UNC Charlotte Fraternity Rocked by Secret Sex Video Scandal; 1 Arrested

A disturbing incident has rocked the University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus after a 19-year-old was arrested for allegedly secretly filming a student during a sexual encounter and distributing the explicit video to a fraternity group chat. Alexander Michael Evanoff faces charges including disclosing private images and felony secret peeping after authorities claim he used his cellphone to record a sexually explicit video of a woman without her consent on September 19th. The video was subsequently shared with a Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity group chat comprising 32 members. Evanoff reportedly admitted to law enforcement that he intentionally recorded the act and sent it to the group chat, acknowledging he did not obtain permission from the victim to create or distribute the footage. When confronted by the victim, Evanoff allegedly responded affirmatively when asked if sending the video made him appear ‘cool,’ before offering an apology. While the university confirmed Evanoff is not a student, a spokesperson condemned the alleged actions as ‘reprehensible’ and stated such conduct is not tolerated within the campus community. Evanoff was arrested and later released on a $10,000 bond.
