A chilling motive of revenge has emerged in the deadly home invasion that left one man dead and his partner critically injured in Milford, Connecticut, with court documents revealing that one of the suspects allegedly vowed to “make her life hell” after the female victim fired an employee suspected of theft. The victim, who survived a gunshot wound to the head, told investigators she had recently terminated an employee she suspected of stealing money from her real estate business. Text messages presented in an unsealed arrest warrant show a disturbing exchange between this fired employee and suspect Ivan Barias-Florimon, 24, where the employee texted, “her boss is going to make my life hell,” to which Barias-Florimon allegedly responded, “I’ll make her life hell,” and further threatened, “[just] say the word” and “[I’ll] **** her lifee OVERRRRRR.” The other suspect, Stuar Lopez-Reyes, 25, was identified by the surviving victim and seen on surveillance video at the scene. Both Barias-Florimon and Lopez-Reyes, identified as Dominican nationals by the Department of Homeland Security, are facing charges including murder and assault on an elderly person, with DHS seeking to revoke their green cards.
