Four Texas State University fraternity pledges were arrested on misdemeanor hazing charges after an 18-year-old pledge was allegedly forced into a pickup truck with his mouth taped shut, screaming for help, according to police. The alarming incident, described by those involved as a fraternity initiation tradition, unfolded late Tuesday night when authorities received multiple calls reporting men forcing another into a blue pickup. Officers located the vehicle at an apartment complex and identified the suspects as members of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity. The victim, an active member of the fraternity, was not physically injured, but the shocking event has led to the arrest of William Oldner, Noah Lara, Tyler Fogg, and Wyatt Carr. Phi Delta Theta General Headquarters has acknowledged the incident, stating they are cooperating with the university and law enforcement, and emphasizing their commitment to member safety and zero tolerance for behavior that jeopardizes it.
