Gas Station Owner Denies Selling Fatal Pills Linked to Ole Miss Student Deaths Amid Federal Raid

The owner of Express Mart #7, Ibrahim Aydah, has vehemently denied that the synthetic kratom pills found near the deceased Ole Miss students, Robert Strang and Aidan Hamilton, originated from his gas station, despite an undercover agent purchasing similar products there. Aydah asserts that the packaging of the pills found at the scene differs from those he sells, citing a lack of price tags on his merchandise and claiming he never stocked the 200 mg version of ‘Smax’ containing pseudoindoxyl, a compound now federally controlled. His denial comes as federal agents, including the DEA, raided his store, seizing all kratom products in what he described as a shocking loss for his business. While acknowledging the federal ban on products listing ‘pseudoindoxyl’ and expressing condolences to the victims’ families, Aydah maintains his innocence, stating he is a businessman, not a drug dealer, and was unaware he was selling illegal products. The investigation is ongoing, with lab results pending to confirm the exact contents of the pills found near the students, who died from suspected drug overdoses, with one autopsy consistent with a drug overdose.
