The highly anticipated second season of the Scrubs revival has officially shifted its focus to forging new professional bonds, with the double-episode premiere, “My First Time in a While” and “My Mentee,” prominently showcasing the established mentor-mentee relationships between the original Sacred Heart doctors and the new generation of physicians. While the first season hinted at these connections, this season dives deep into integrating the two casts, clearly defining which seasoned professionals are now guiding the careers of their junior colleagues, building upon the foundation laid by the previous season’s efforts to reintroduce the beloved original characters and their lives post-17 years.
