A chaotic early morning incident in Green Bay, Wisconsin, left four police officers with non-life-threatening injuries after a suspected drunk driver allegedly plowed into a crowd of bystanders and officers responding to a disturbance at a food truck. The suspect then led police on a short pursuit, which was ultimately ended by officers employing a PIT maneuver. The driver was taken into custody without further incident on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Some of the officers’ injuries reportedly occurred prior to the vehicle incident as they were attempting to take individuals into custody. An officer discharged their firearm during the unfolding events, though no injuries were reported from the shooting. The Brown County Sheriff’s Office is assisting in the investigation of the officer-involved shooting, and authorities are still determining if the driver was connected to the initial disturbance.
