Freedom asserts in his complaint that he was peacefully exercising his right to express his views on the integrity of women’s sports, a stance he has publicly advocated for, emphasizing his belief that women-only sports must be protected. The lawsuit details that Freedom believes he is eligible to participate in the WNBA based on current league rules requiring self-identification, a position that has drawn significant backlash and hateful attacks, which he claims contributed to the discriminatory actions taken against him.
