DCCC Chair Rep. Suzan DelBene emphasized that these are “proven fighters” building broad coalitions and directly addressing voter concerns about economic struggles and unfulfilled Republican promises, aiming to present a clear alternative to the GOP’s agenda. While some of these districts have historically leaned Republican, the DCCC’s investment underscores a belief in their potential to be flipped, particularly in closer races like Florida’s 13th and Maine’s 2nd Congressional Districts, the latter decided by a mere 0.6% in the previous election.
