Plane with Six Aboard Vanishes En Route to Boston; Coast Guard Scours Nantucket Waters

A frantic search is underway off the coast of Nantucket as the U.S. Coast Guard desperately seeks a Gulfstream G100 jet that vanished early Saturday morning with six individuals on board. The twin-engine, mid-size aircraft, registered in Canada and operated by medical transport company Latitude Air Ambulance, lost contact with air traffic control shortly after departing Bermuda for Boston. Both air and surface crews have been deployed to the area, with the Federal Aviation Administration issuing a Search and Rescue Alert Notice as the mystery of the plane’s disappearance deepens.
