The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) is seeking critical documents from the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA), the government entity that owns the arena, to determine who authorized Freedom’s removal and ban following a verbal exchange with Sky guard Natasha Cloud. Freedom, who was wearing a shirt stating “WOMAN noun. adult human female” at the time of the incident, was escorted from the arena after stepping toward the court during a third-quarter timeout. AFPI’s request aims to uncover agreements between the MPEA, arena operator Oak View Group, the Chicago Sky, and the WNBA, as well as security policies, law enforcement protocols, and details regarding any federal funding received by the arena.
