Marjorie Taylor Greene unleashed a furious attack on War Secretary Pete Hegseth, accusing him of “bloodlust” for a “senseless war” after Hegseth posted about fallen U.S. service members killed in Jordan. Hegseth had shared a U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) post stating, “Godspeed, heroes. Their sacrifice only stiffens our resolve,” in response to the deaths of American troops during an Iranian ballistic missile and drone attack. Greene vehemently rejected the term “sacrifice,” retorting, “They did not willingly sacrifice themselves. They were killed because of the war you, Trump, and the admin, are waging on behalf of a FOREIGN COUNTRY, Israel.” She further condemned the situation, asking, “You mean their deaths fuel your bloodlust for a senseless war.” This confrontation comes after CENTCOM confirmed the deaths of two U.S. service members in Jordan and the subsequent discovery of unidentified remains, as well as another service member killed in Iraq by unexploded ordnance. Greene had previously expressed her anguish over the casualties, urging President Trump to “bring our troops home and stop this senseless America LAST war!!!”
